The Dutch House, on the corner of Wine Street and High Street, Bristol
Attributed to: Calvert Richard Jones
Location: Bristol
The building known as the Dutch House in Bristol probably dated from the sixteenth century. It was badly damaged by bombing in 1940. The remains were later demolished by the army for safety reasons. A fragment of the building survives in Bristol Museum & Art Gallery in the form of a lifesize two dimensional figure of a genadier-type soldier rendered in metal.
