From the hairstyle, combined with the wreath around the young woman's hair, her expression, and the treatment of her face and drapery, it is possible that the bust in this photograph dates from the late 18th or early 19th century. The sculptor may well be British, but a European artist is also possible, perhaps German or Flemish.
