This lovely Bust of Venus on a Tabletop was sold by ‘cajun2009’ and may well have come from a copy of the June 1846 Art-Union.
We haven’t assigned it to a Schaaf number yet since there are several close variants and we need more precise measurements and a better image.

Schaaf 132. This was in a complete copy of the June 1846 Art-Union. One of Talbot’s “Boulevards of Paris” series, it depicts the Hotel de la Paix and the Maison Lucy Hocquet. Of special interest is its provenance, the library of the Bradford Exchange (Bradford, England, of course being the home of the National Science and Media Museum with its extensive Talbot collection). There was a Bradford Exchange Company Ltd. registered in 1862, and there was a Bradford Exchange Chess Club and today there is a collectibles firm under the name of Bradford Exchange. Any information on which library this came from (and when) would also be appreciated.
